Pinnacle reports campaign spending23 January 2008LOUISIANA -- As reported by the Louisiana Advocate:" In a campaign finance report, Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. reported spending $5 million over the past year to sell East Baton Rouge Parish voters on its proposed new $250 million casino on the Mississippi River near Gardere Lane. "The referendum, required by the Louisiana Constitution for any expansion of gambling, is slated Feb. 9. "Meanwhile, the political consultant directing Pinnacle's campaign to get voter approval on Feb. 9 is claiming that the two riverboat casinos haven't reported all the money that they've spent on anti-Pinnacle ads...' |
