Philippine Police Ordered to Stop Illegal Gambling

PHILIPPINES – As reported by the Manila Sun Star: "Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Arturo Lumibao gave the Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 15 days to stop illegal gambling.

"He gave this directive to PRO6 Chief Doroteo Reyes during his visit in Iloilo City last Wednesday.

"…Earlier, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo ordered anti-jueteng czar and Puerto Princesa city mayor Edward Hagedorn to completely stop jueteng operations in the country by September 15…"
