Philippine Illegal Task Force Head Named

PHILIPPINE – As reported by the Eastday: "Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo Thursday named a new head of task force against illegal gambling as she is facing charges that her family was involved in the illegal number game called jueteng in Manila, said officials at the presidential palace.

"Arroyo named Palawan Mayor Edward Hagedorn as the country's new 'anti-jueteng czar.' Hagedorn will head the task force that has been created to eradicate the jueteng illegal numbers game.
