Pfizer settles over alleged gambling side effects of drug10 December 2014AUSTRALIA -- Pfizer will pay out a settlement to patients who filed a class action lawsuit against the company over a drug that caused compulsive gambling in some who took it, The Guardian reported. The drug which was given to patients suffering from Parkinson's disease, the report said. Some patients allege they had become addicted to gambling and spent thousands of dollars due to side effects of the medication, which they were not warned about, according to The Guardian report. |
