Perfect Pairs a nice twist to blackjack

15 November 2007

Sometimes you're in the mood for plain old blackjack. Sometimes, you're in the mood for blackjack -- extra saucy. And when that moment strikes, try Golden Casino's Perfect Pairs Blackjack.

The game is played exactly the same as standard blackjack. The only difference is the presence of the Perfect Pairs side bet. The Perfect Pairs side bet wins if the first two cards dealt to a hand are a pair and loses if they are not a pair. It is as simple as that.

The payout table for Perfect Pairs bet adds to the fun as well. The game pays 5-1 for a mixed-color pair, 10-1 for a same color pair and 30-1 for a perfect pair.

The Perfect Pairs side bet is optional. But because its a quick way to make some cash, and because most players feel like such idiots when they hit the pair without a bet on it, the bet is almost always made. The other interesting dynamic in this game is players stop rooting for blackjacks and start rooting for pairs of jacks.
