Pennsylvania Partnership Aims for Casino License

GETTYSBURG, Pennsylvania – As reported by the Pennsylvania Patriot News: "Ruby Collins had a difficult time grasping the idea of a slot-machine casino just east of Gettysburg.

"…To David LeVan, president of Chance Enterprises, a patch of farmland at Routes 15 and 30 is the perfect site to build the Gettysburg Gaming Resort & Spa.

"Chance Enterprises, a new partnership, hopes to win one of two licenses for a standalone casino -- a slots parlor not attached to a racetrack -- at sites other than Philadelphia or Pittsburgh.

"…LeVan did not provide a cost estimate yesterday but said the price would be hundreds of millions of dollars. A state slots license costs $50 million…"
