Pennsylvania: Grand jury casino report leads to state hearings

HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania -- A just released casino regulation report from a grand jury has triggered hearings this summer, according to the Pittsburgh-Tribune.

The purpose of the hearings, by the House Gaming Oversight Committee, is to address the grand Jury recommendations, which came out of a two year investigation, the report explained.

The hearings will develop legislation that will aim to improve accountability and ensure the proper function of the Pennsylvania Gaming Board is carried out, the Pittsburgh-Tribune reported.
