Pennsylvania governor names new gaming board chairman

HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania -- As reported by The Morning Call: "Greg Fajt, chief of staff to Gov. Ed Rendell, will become the next chairman of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, a Rendell spokesman said Wednesday.

Fajt will replace Chairwoman Mary DiGiacamo Colins, but a timeline has not been set, and Colins made clear Wednesday she has plenty left to do.

"'It's a question of at which point I make that decision,' Colins said, adding she has 'significant things' to accomplish, including next month's opening of the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem.

"Also Wednesday, the gaming board appointed the chief regulatory officer of an Indian casino in New York to be the gaming board's executive director..."
