Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board releases table game revenue figures for March18 April 2011HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today posted on its web site the revenue figures for March table games play at the ten operating casinos. Table games produced $54,606,617 gross revenue in March resulting in $8,737,059 in tax revenue. Pennsylvania has a 16% tax rate on gross table game revenue with 14% going to the Commonwealth's General Fund and 2% to the local host county and municipality. March's total revenue was the highest to date since table games were introduced at Pennsylvania casinos last July, and significantly eclipsed the previous high month of December 2010 when gross revenue totaled $44,080,346. March total over $10 million more than previous high month "We continue to see greater play of table games as casinos enhance their customer base and refine the mix of games that patrons seek," says PGCB Executive Director Kevin O'Toole. "Certainly as we move into the warmer months where patron visits increase, it would be likely that we will see a continued upward trend of these revenue numbers." |
