1 November 2005

HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today posted applications for Category 2 and Category 3 gaming facilities, as well as instructions for filing these applications, on its Web site.

Act 71 of 2004 authorizes the Board to license 14 slot-machine gaming facilities across the state, including five standalone sites - known as Category 2 facilities - and two sites at existing resorts - known as Category 3 facilities. The Board previously approved regulations governing Category 2 and Category 3 facilities.

The Board also previously agreed to accept applications for the Category 2 and Category 3 operating licenses from Nov. 1, 2005, through Dec. 28, 2005. It has not set a date for acting on these applications.

To download the application forms, visit the Web site and click on "Licensure" and "Applications."
