Pennsylvania Gambling Probe Charges Filed10 May 2005LANCASTER COUNTY, Pennsylvania – As reported by the Lancaster Intelligencer-Journal: "Police have charged a Paradise man with supplying illegal gambling machines to five businesses in Lancaster County. "County Detective Donald E. Snyder charged William Frank Hammond of Paradise, owner of LMB Amusements Inc., with five counts of possession of gambling devices. "The crime is a misdemeanor and each count carries a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison, said Michael Landis, the county's chief of detectives. "…The charges stem from an 8-week investigation earlier this year that included police raids on five county businesses in February that netted 21 of the illegal gambling machines, which are similar to slot machines…" |
