Pennsylvania casinos see gains

POCONO DOWNS, Pennsylvania -- As reported by The Norwich Bulletin: "Mohegan Sun in Connecticut may be mired in the economic doldrums along with Atlantic City and Las Vegas, but the Mohegan Sun casino at Pocono Downs in Pennsylvania is doing fine.

"The slot parlor won more than $17.8 million in February, an increase of 43.5 percent over February 2008.

"Nearby Mount Airy casino took in $15.2 million, a 31.5 percent jump.

"The gross revenues statewide in Pennsylvania were more than $145.5 million, up 21.1 percent over February 2008..."
