Pennsylvania Casino Developers Address Security Questions16 September 2005BETHLEHEM, Pennsylvania – As reported by the Express Times: "Rumors are floating around about plans to transform the Bethlehem Works site into a business hub with a casino. "Rumors like: Casinos try to avoid racking up a police record by escorting rowdy customers off the premises with their own security guards. Trouble is, the security guards simply deposit problem revelers on nearby streets, rather than turn them into police. "…Businesspeople had a chance to ask questions -- and clear up rumors -- about the BethWorks Now project Thursday night at Comfort Suites. "BethWorks Now principal Michael Perrucci fielded questions and sought support for the estimated $879 million entertainment, retail and residential complex. "When it comes to security, he estimated a security force with hundreds of people would maintain order, a scenario common at multimillion dollar establishments. But he said the casino would also work closely with police when appropriate. "…Along with security, businesspeople discussed tax revenue.
