Pennsylvania Board Appointee's Priority is Integrity

HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania – As reported by the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "Trading in his FBI badge for an appointment to the new Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, Kenneth T. McCabe said his top priority is ensuring the 'integrity of the board is above reproach.'

"McCabe also said Monday that he is intent on keeping the board 'transparent to the public.'

"The man who appointed McCabe, Senate President Pro Tempore Robert Jubelirer, R-Altoona, vowed that board meetings and hearings on slot machines license applicants will be open to the public.

"…McCabe, 50, of Cranberry, is taking a slight pay cut to serve on the board. After a background check by state police, he will be paid $145,000 a year. As the special agent in charge of the FBI's Pittsburgh Field Office for about the past two years, he was paid $145,600 annually…"
