PEI Won't Lose Gambling Addiction Hotline27 May 2005CHARLOTTETOWN, Prince Edward Island – As reported by the CBC News: "Aliant doesn't know how a Nova Scotia's Gambling Help Line number ended up in Prince Edward Island phone books. However, that province's government said it won't be cutting off Islanders who dial the number. "The toll-free number has been listed in P.E.I. books for at least three years. Around 50 people from the Island call for help with gambling addictions. "Lynn Coveyduck, the public affairs manager with Aliant, said the number will remain active. But she said the two provinces may come up with a way to route the Island calls to a new service…" |
