Pechanga Casino Installs Motion Computing PCs

13 September 2005

AUSTIN, Texas -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Pechanga Resort & Casino, a AAA four-diamond property in Southern California, has deployed 200 Motion Computing® tablet PCs for gaming table management, player tracking and employee training.

The Motion tablet PCs are located on 155 of Pechanga's gaming tables, running Progressive Gaming International Corporation's (NASDAQ:PGIC) table management system, TableLink®. With the TableLink application, Pechanga tracks player activity at every table. TableLink automatically and accurately updates player data collected via the Motion tablet -- including player numbers, average bets, table limits and the amount of time played.

Pechanga also has placed Motion tablets in its employee training room, which is a replica of the casino's gaming floor. In training, new dealers learn how to deal at Pechanga and how to use its player tracking system.

"The Motion tablets are powerful computers, but also are good looking and feeling, which is important in the casino industry," said Rod Luck, vice president of IT at Pechanga. "The small footprint coupled with the graphics capabilities let us drive high-resolution displays from a fixed location, and the durability of the display supports mobile use -- we get the best of both worlds."

"With the design of our slate-style tablet, Motion's goal has been to enable tablet computing applications where none existed before, so we are pleased to be the delivery platform for the Pechanga Resort & Casino," said Ralph Spagnola, Motion's senior vice president of sales.

Pechanga also is planning a tablet PC initiative for the casino hosts who manage the property's 188,000-square-foot casino floor.
