Parx Casino announces Xcite Center grand opening13 October 2017(PRESS RELEASE) -- Parx Casino, Pennsylvania's No. 1 casino, has announced today the grand opening of the brand new live entertainment venue, Xcite Center. The opening event for this intimate 1,500-seat venue will feature world-renowned music group and 2016 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Chicago. A second featured launch concert will be headlined by the most award-winning country music group in the past decade, Rascal Flatts. Xcite Center's debut is set to shine on Saturday, 13 January 2018 and will feature the legendary two-time Grammy Award-winning rock band Chicago. Out of 36 career albums, an incredible 25 have been certified platinum, and the band has a total of 47 gold and platinum awards altogether. As the first American rock band to chart Top 40 albums in six consecutive decades, they are considered one of the world's best-selling groups of all time. Following the opening, Xcite Center will also host a featured launch concert on Saturday, 3 March 2018 with Rascal Flatts, the most awarded country vocal group of the past decade. Rascal Flatts has achieved numerous milestones in the past 10 years, including winning six consecutive CMA Awards for Vocal Group of the Year, induction into the Grand Ole Opry in 2011 and 16 number one hits. "The Xcite Center will be a spectacular new live music venue for the region to enjoy. We are thrilled and honored to open with the iconic band Chicago, then host one of country music's best, Rascal Flatts, in March," says Tony Ricci, CEO of Parx Casino. "This is only the start of bringing some of the best live entertainment acts to Parx Casino and Bucks County." Tickets for the Xcite Center launch concerts can be purchased at the website beginning Friday, 20 October 2017 at 11 a.m. In addition to the Xcite Center, the $50 million expansion to Parx Casino will add 45,000 square feet of space totaling the property footprint to 375,000 square feet. As part of the property development, Parx Casino will welcome Lombardi's Pizzeria from New York City, The Liberty Bell Gastropub and a brand new exclusive poker room to the main casino building. |
