Party Poker ready for WPT Grand Prix de Paris

LOS ANGELES, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- World Poker Tour® (WPT) is returning to France for one of its premier European tour stops, WPT Grand Prix de Paris, presented by Party Poker, at Aviation Club de France. Scheduled May 8 – 12, 2010 with the Final Table on May 15, the €10,000 main event will be filmed for worldwide television broadcast. WPT will also record its inaugural high roller event, playing May 14-15 with the Final Table on May 16.

A warm-up €1,000 side event has attracted an encouraging 156 runners, and many pros are either in Paris already or en route to the famous WPT event. Look out for the likes of Freddy Deeb, Aussie Millions champion Tyron Krost, Sorel Mizzi, Patrick Bruel, Isabelle Mercier, Ludovic Lacay, Anthony Lellouche, Roger Hairabredian, Theo Jorgenson, Roberto Romanello and many more in the line-up.

"The countdown is on and the Aviation Club de France is delighted to welcome back the WPT to Paris," said Bruno Fitoussi, poker consultant for Aviation Club de France. "The WPT Grand Prix de Paris is a high-class tournament, coverage of which will be televised, and it is an undoubted highlight on the international poker circuit."

The second televised event is ACF's €20,000 No Limit Hold 'em High Roller Freeze Out tournament. Each final table will feature eight players battling it out on the felt in front of television cameras.
