Papua New Guinea Cops Arrested in Gambling Raid

PAPAU NEW GUINEA – As reported by the Australia Associated Press: "Raids on illegal gambling machine operators in Papua New Guinea's capital have uncovered widespread police corruption.

"The Port Moresby police commander, Tony Wagambie, said yesterday 11 police officers had been arrested during the raids.

"Police and officials from the Internal Revenue Commission and National Gaming Board began removing illegal horse racing machines from various locations in Port Moresby after a 36-hour deadline to close the machines passed on Thursday…"
