Palm Beach Kennel Club presents $20K Dick Andrews Futurity

5 December 2016

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Round-one qualifying action for Palm Beach Kennel Club Poke Room's $20,000 Dick Andrews Futurity gets underway Wednesday afternoon, 7 December.

Forty of the track's most outstanding up-and-coming young racing stars will go to post in five qualifying events. The same 40 stake hopefuls will return for round two Saturday afternoon, December 10 and once again for the third round on Wednesday afternoon, 14 December. Following round three, the top 16 point earners will advance to the semifinals, Monday afternoon, 19 December.

The finale of the $20,000 Dick Andrews Futurity will be contested Monday afternoon, 26 December.

Likely fan round-one favorites include:

In Race 8, two entries look to be in good spots to finish in the money, #1 Royal Fling (Get Over – Where's Lil Tiny, B & B Racing) and #3 JS Outlaw Legend (Djays Octane – JS Little B, Koppe Staats & Collins).

The two wagering standouts in Race 10 include #5 Ballyhoo Mary (Dyna Nalin - Wise Lady, B & B Racing) and the impressive first-turn rusher #8 Allaboutthefame (KC And All – Abilene Abby, Janie Carroll Kennel).

Race 12 features a trio of Futurity final hopefuls including the well-established #1 TC Carlos Gomez ( Kiowa Sweet Trey – PK's Keystone, James Douglas Kennel), the impressive #2 Jack The Rat (BD's Grayson – Flying Rosecrest, Arthur Agganis Kennel) and the well-positioned #8 Blutoo Kersplat (Dragon Fire – Soft Trent, Royal Racing Team).

In Race 14, the likely fan-favorite will be #3 Wicked Twista (Dyna Nalin - Luxurious Trent, North Shore Kennel) who has been putting in some spectacular efforts.

And wrapping up the afternoon in Race 15, your likely wagered on Quiniela combo will consist of #1 Too Tall Bobbied (BD's Grayson – Flying Rosecrest, Arthur Agganis) and the early-speedster #7 O Ya Sunflower (Gold Town – O Ya Aunt Bea, Lester Raines Kennel).

Post time for the first race Wednesday afternoon is 1:00 p.m.

The Futurity is named in honor of former PBKC kennel operator, humanitarian and 2004 inductee to the Greyhound Hall of Fame Dick Andrews.
