Packer Moves in on Burswood

AUSTRALIA – As reported by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation: "Kerry Packer's Publishing and Broadcasting Limited (PBL) has moved closer to achieving full control of Perth's Burswood casino.

"The Packer group says it now has support for its takeover bid from 83 per cent of shareholders.

"Achieving 90 per cent of the shares will require the remaining equity holders to automatically sell to PBL…"
