Pac-10 Presidents Accept Gambling Penalties

WASHINGTON – As reported by NBC: "Pac Ten presidents have accepted the recommended penalties against the University of Washington for gambling and recruiting violations.

"…Pac Ten investigators determined that football coach Rick Neuheisel gambled on the college basketball tournament and others took part in small-stake pools.

"The conference determined that Neuheisel's firing was adequate punishment. The coach is suing Washington and the N-C-A-A in King County Superior Court in Seattle. He says a memo from the compliance director permitted the off-campus gambling…"
