PA table games revenue up 4% in October

16 November 2012

HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania -- Revenue from table games play at Pennsylvania casinos was $55.3 million in October 2012, according to a report released today by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. That represented a 4.2% increase in gross revenue from table games during October of this year compared to October of 2011.

The monthly report, posted on the Board’s web site, also shows that tax revenue generated from table games this October was $7.9 million. Pennsylvania taxes gross revenue at 14% for casinos that has offered table games for two years and 16% for those casinos that began offering table games less than two years ago.

Coupled with a report posted earlier this month on the agency’s web site on slot machine revenue during October 2012, combined gross gaming revenue for table games and slot machines this past month was $243,692,416. Since slot machine revenue for October 2012 was lower than the previous year, in large part due to end of the month severe weather conditions, overall gaming revenue for the month was down 2.6% from last October.

Combined tax revenue from slot machine and table games play during October of this year was $109,620,104.
