Over 500 Arrests in Thailand Raids

THAILAND – As reported by the Bangkok Posts: "More than 500 people have been arrested in Bangkok for illegal gambling on football since the World Cup kicked off early this month, police said.

"Among the 532 people arrested were 94 bookies.

"Pol Col Pinit Maneerat said that those arrested were involved in a total of 197 million baht (US $5.1 million) of illegal bets…"
