Oregon Tribal Casino May Be Approved

OREGON – As reported by the Oregon KXL News Radio: "Approval for a new casino for one of Oregon's largest tribes may be just days away.

"A spokeswoman for the governor said Kulongoski is expected to make an announcement within the next month on whether the state plans to enter an agreement with the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs to build a casino along the Columbia River.

"It will be the first casino to be build off reservation land -- and has proved controversial with other tribes…"
