Operators announced for iGaming in Ontario24 March 2022The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario released a list of 16 operators that will launch online platforms when the iGaming market launches on 4 April. Beginning 4 April, private gaming operators that have registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and have executed an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario can begin offering their games to players in Ontario. The reason for the two requirements is because the AGCO and the iGO are two separate entities and operators must obtain approval from both before they are able to proceed with operating in the province. There are 16 operators that have been approved to launch in Ontario by the regulator in Ontario. In addition to the operators, 41 suppliers have been registered and over 700 games are certified for use in the province to date. Here are the 16 operators: Annexio (LottoGo.com), BetMGM, Coolbet, FanDuel, Fitzdares, bet365, LeoVegas, WSOP.com, Ontario Lottery and Gaming, PointsBet, Rivalry, Royal Panda, Rush Street Interactive (BetRivers Ontario), theScore, Unibet and 888. "We’ve been working closely with all that have applied to join the market. Not every operator will be ready to launch their services on day one. Some are more ready than others. This means Ontario’s new iGaming market will steadily expand in the weeks and months following April 4th," the AGCO Communications Team stated. Anyone who is at least 19 years old and are in Ontario can enjoy what these operators have to offer with their platforms. As Canada's largest province, Ontario has a serious chance to become a major iGaming location. "One of the key objectives behind Ontario’s new iGaming market is to bring sites Ontarians are already gambling on under regulation so that they can be held to high standards of responsible operations, player protections and game integrity," the AGCO Communications Team continued.
