Ontario Casino Expansion Considered

ONTARIO – As reported by the Windsor Star: "The province is considering the expansion of Casino Windsor and hopes to have enough information to make a decision in six months, says Minister of Economic Development and Trade Joseph Cordiano.

"The border issue is a huge problem that must be resolved as part of the equation, Cordiano said Tuesday. "Myself and my colleagues are working on that as we speak."

"…Investment in infrastructure in Windsor and casino expansion are being considered, as is the nine-point plan, one of several proposed solutions to the city's border woes.

"…He has ordered a full assessment of the province's $6-billion gaming industry, including Casino Windsor.

"…Casino Windsor's problems are on his priority list, said Cordiano, who visited the gaming palace Saturday…"
