Only one bidder remains for Aqueduct

7 July 2010

NEW YORK -- A Malaysian company is the only bidder not disqualified in the Aqueduct casino bid process, Bloodhorse reported.

The other two bids -- Penn National and another consortium which included Hard Rock Entertainment -- didn't "conform to bidding requirements", The Bloodhorse report said.

This leaves Genting New York in the running for Aqueduct license, Bloodhorse said.

The extensive saga behind the Aqueduct casino has lasted nine years and three different administrations, should deliver a conclusion Aug 3, 2010, the report noted.
