Online Casino City update sorts iGaming operators by currency

19 December 2013

Online Casino City is excited to announce that its website, online.casinocity.com, will automatically sort and display online gaming websites by preferred currency.

The new currency feature joins the already existing language and geographic preferences to dramatically increase the relevancy of Online Casino City's directory of gaming sites to players.

For example, when a player from Australia visited online.casinocity.com, Online Casino City used to display 795 online casinos that accepted bets from players in Australia -- based solely on operators who accept bets from people located in Australia and have English-language websites. By automatically adding the Australian Dollar as a preference, the number of websites displayed is reduced to 144.

By displaying just the 144 online casinos that offer transactions in Australian Dollars, Australian players can quickly choose an online casino that accepts the currency that they use on a daily basis, thus removing hurdles in the depositing process.

A similar affect can be seen in the Canadian listings. Before Online Casino City added the currency preference, Canadian players would have to sort through 742 online casinos that accept Canadian players. The addition of the currency preference -- in this case Canadian Dollars -- returns 181 listings.

The currency feature, which is set automatically based on the player's location, makes it easier to find and select online gaming sites that offer deposits in their native currency.

The listings can be filtered further by online gaming sites offering bonuses.

"I'm very happy with the way the feature narrows the sites presented to our visitors to those where they can more easily deposit," said Michael Corfman, CEO of Casino City.

When no currency preference is set, the currency preference will be "any currency," which will list sites independently of the currencies they offer. Users may change their default preferences at any time.

Users can set their preferences by visiting https://online.casinocity.com/preferences.cfm.
