One Winning $149 Million Mega Million Ticket Sold

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- One ticket matched all six Mega Millions numbers in the Friday, November 19, 2004 drawing, and now players in New York City, New York are checking their tickets to see if they are the newest "mega" winner of an estimated $149 million jackpot.

The winning numbers for Friday's drawing were: 01-12-24-36-51 and the Mega Ball number was 38. The holder of the winning jackpot ticket is not the only Mega Millions winner in Friday's drawing. A total of 956,936 other tickets won prizes ranging from $2 up to $175,000 for a total of $7,216,671. Thirteen tickets came within just one number of also winning the jackpot. They matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number to each win $175,000.

These tickets were sold in Georgia (1); Illinois (2); Massachusetts (1); Maryland (1); Michigan (3); New Jersey (2); New York (1); Ohio (1); and Virginia (1).
