Olympia Land Forms Gaming Venture27 April 2005LAS VEGAS – (PRESS RELEASE)-- With a real estate portfolio that includes the hugely successful Southern Highlands development, the Olympia Land Corporation has formed a gaming subsidiary for near-term and future developments. Spearheaded by noted land-use developer Garry Goett, Olympia Gaming, LLC was formed as the next, "logical extension of our business enterprise," said Goett. "The formation of a gaming arm to our thriving real estate development business reflects the natural evolution of our company," said Goett, President and CEO of The Olympia Land Corporation, who opened the successful Casino Fandango in Carson City in 2003. "Over the years, we've added commercial, retail, and now gaming to our core residential and land investment businesses. We're extremely excited about the potential we now possess as a multi-faceted development corporation," Goett added. "At present, we are in the planning stages of a number of large-scale, mixed-use properties and gaming will be a central focus of each future development," Goett added. "With gaming's rapid and far-reaching growth in various jurisdictions, creating a gaming company was a strategic move on our part. A gaming component creates a natural synergy with our current development businesses and further enhances our ability to develop all aspects of a mixed-use, master-planned project. We've built a reputation for quality projects that we hope will carry over into our new gaming venture," said Goett. The newly-formed Olympia Gaming will be headquartered at the Olympia Corporate Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will be a subsidiary of Goett's parent corporation, the Olympia Land Corporation, whose subsidiaries and related entities actively engage in all phases of real estate development from land investment to participating in residential, commercial and retail development in Nevada. The Olympia Land Corporation's current profile includes the successful 2,700 acre Southern Highlands master-planned community and some of the most desirable and high-profile real estate projects and property in the Las Vegas area, including: 600,000 sq. ft. Eastern Beltway Center; 900,000 sq. ft. Centennial Center; 350,000 sq. ft. Centennial Gateway; 175,000 sq. ft. Blue Diamond Retail Center; 200,000 sq. ft. Southern Highlands Retail Center; 120,000 sq. ft. Olympia Corporate Center, and 350 acres of mixed-use, casino, residential, and retail commercial property located between Cactus and St. Rose Parkway and bounded by Las Vegas Boulevard and I-15. In February 2005, Olympia Land Corporation acquired 5,500 acres bordering Mesquite, Nevada, in Lincoln County for future development. With the addition of a gaming division to the overall umbrella of companies, the Olympia Land Corporation has now positioned itself as one of the only broad-ranging and diverse developers capable of developing all aspects of a mixed-use real estate project. |
