Oklahoma Plan Won't Hurt Casinos8 March 2004OKLAHOMA – As reported by the Oklahoma Herald Democrat: "A move by Oklahoma Gov. Brad Henry that could help the ailing horse industry isn't expected to hurt area casinos. "Senate Bill 553, allowing three pari-mutuel horse racing tracks to offer the same electronic games played at Oklahoma Indian casinos, passed last week and will be signed into law next week. "Judy Allen, with Choctaw Indian Bingo, said the tribe is not concerned that the bill will take money from the casinos that have been simulcasting the races…" |
