Oklahoma Gaming Bill to Die Slow Death20 February 2004OKLAHOMA – As reported by the Native American Times: "Just like last year, an Oklahoma gaming bill could die a slow death in the House because the votes to pass it are not there. The leading member of the GOP in the House also says he is opposed to the measure, and will work to fight it. "…If passed, the State-Tribal Gaming Act would allow horse racetracks to offer the same electronic gaming machines that tribal casinos currently can, including Class 2 games, pull-tab and bingo. It also establishes a limited number of "electronic instant ticket" and "electronic amusement" games at Remington Park in Oklahoma City, Blue Ribbon Downs in Sallisaw and Will Rogers Downs in Claremore…" |
