Ohio Ticket Wins Mega Millions Jackpot

OHIO – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Mega Millions players are checking their tickets after Friday's drawing, because somewhere there is a ticket worth an estimated $106 million. That ticket, which was purchased in Warrensville Heights, Ohio, matched all six Mega Millions numbers in the June 3, 2005 drawing. The winning numbers are 04-06-14-28-47 and the Mega Ball number is 42.

But whoever has that ticket is not the only winner. A total of 711,335 tickets won prizes in Friday's drawing. That includes 14 tickets that came within just one number of hitting the jackpot. They matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number to each win $175,000. Those tickets were sold in Illinois (3), New Jersey (2), New York (6), Texas (1), Virginia (1) and Washington (1).

The jackpot for the Tuesday, June 7, 2005 Mega Millions drawing is $10 million.

Mega Millions is played in Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Officials in California have announced plans to join the fun beginning June 22.
