Ohio House May Reconsider Slot Vote

OHIO – As reported by the Ohio Plains Dealer: "Just when you thought the issue of slot machines at racetracks had died, three Ohio House members tried to resurrect it Tuesday.

"Using a procedural maneuver, three Democratic women who helped to defeat the mini casinos last week asked the House to reconsider the vote.

"…Backers of the plan hope to ask voters in November to amend the Ohio Constitution to allow slot machines at state-licensed racetracks.

"…The proposal calls for the Ohio Lottery to oversee the slots…"
