Ohio gaming machines ordered removed

OHIO – As reported by the Star Beacon: "Owners of the once-legal Tic Tac Fruit video game must remove the gaming machines from bars and other establishments by Saturday or face legal sanctions by the state, Ohio Investigative Unit Deputy Director Scott Pohlman said.

"The demise of Tic Tac Fruit began last Wednesday when Attorney General Jim Petro called the amusement machines games of chance rather than games of skill.

"…Geneva Law Director Lauren Gardner said one version of Tic Tac Fruit contains a 60,000 play-cartridge with eight tiers of winning. Only one person can possibly win first prize on each cartridge, regardless of how well the person plays the game. Only 50 people can possibly win second prize, regardless of skill.

"…Now owners have four days to remove the machines from their establishments or the Ohio Investigative Unit deputies will take action, Pohlman said…"
