Ohio expanded gaming plan hits resistance

OHIO -- As reported by the Plain Dealer: "At least one legislative option for dealing with Ohio's proliferation of cash-paying video gaming machines was revealed this week but stalled when some Ohio House members balked at the plan.

"House Speaker Jon Husted, a suburban Dayton Republican, is considering merging Democratic Gov. Ted Strickland's all-out ban of the games, which the governor says are akin to illegal slot machines, into House Bill 177 -- a pending bill that would bar horse track owners from owning more than one track..."
