Ohio City Introduces Video Lottery Ordinance16 June 2005WELLSBURG, Ohio – As reported by the Ohio Herald-Star: "City Council on Tuesday introduced an ordinance placing limitations on video lottery casinos. "Council approved the first reading of an ordinance prohibiting new video lottery businesses from opening in any residential area, within 300 feet of another video lottery business or a park and within 600 feet of a school or church. "City Manager Howard Armstrong said the ordinance will affect any business owner who obtains a video lottery license after Tuesday. "The ordinance states existing video lottery casinos won't be required to comply with the new restrictions…" |
