Ohio Casino Revenue Sharing Plan Approved9 February 2005MONROE, Ohio – As reported by the Cincinnati Enquirer: "City Council Tuesday approved a revenue-sharing agreement with the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma for a proposed casino at Ohio 63 and Interstate 75. "The agreement was first read by council in mid-January, but was tabled at a meeting two weeks ago after several dozen residents voiced opposition. "…The agreement provides a small part of net revenue from the casino's gambling machines to the city. "That money would be used to cover costs Monroe and other governmental jurisdictions incur from the proposed casino. "…The casino still has to clear state and federal hurdles, officials have said…" |
