Officials look at Manchester casino plans

MANCHESTER, England – As reported by the South Manchester Reporter: "Controversial plans to open south Manchester's first around the clock casino today looked set to get the go-ahead by planning officials.

"It was thought that councillors on Manchester City Council's planning committee would give approval to an application from the owners of Buckingham Bingo - based at Parrs Wood Entertainment Centre in East Didsbury - to transform part of their current bingo building into a casino.

"If the plans do get the final go-ahead, the casino will open it's doors to customers into the early hours of the morning. Punters will be able to gamble in the 846 square metre casino from 2pm until 6am, Monday to Friday, from 2pm until 4am on Saturdays and from 4pm until 6am on Sundays…"
