Odds Cut on Blair Quitting

UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by the UK Evening Standard: "Bookmakers cut the odds on Tony Blair quitting before the next general election following the resignation of immigration minister Beverley Hughes.

"William Hill cut the odds from 6/1 to 5/1. It also lengthened the odds on Home Secretary David Blunkett taking over as Prime Minister from 16/1 to 25/1…"
