NTRA Expects Results Up for 200419 May 2004UNITED STATES -- As reported by the Thoroughbred Times: "Thanks mostly to a 41.3% projected growth in revenues from television, sponsorship, purchasing, and promotions, the National Thoroughbred Racing Association expects total operating revenues to increase 11.2% based on the 2004 budget it released in its 2003-'04 annual report to the membership. "Operating revenues in 2003 totaled $60,224,064, and the NTRA projects revenues of $66,989,000 in '04, including $15,214,000 from television, sponsorship, purchasing, and promotions, which is up from $10,766,049 in '03. "…The NTRA expects operating expenses to increase 9.8% from $60,572,995 in 2003 to $66,515,500 in '04 with slight increases in television, sponsorship, and purchasing, advertising, marketing, and promotions, and purses and awards. The excess of revenues over expenses could be about $400,000 compared to $307,895 last year." |
