NSW wants pokies compo27 May 2011NEW SOUTH WALES, Australia -- New South Wales is responding to the introduction of possible "mandatory pre-commitment" on pokies by demanding compensation, according to the Daily Telegraph. The state's Racing Minister insisted New South Wales would require compensation for gaming tax losses and business revenue loss, the report explained. The Racing Minister also said the proposed scheme "would not effectively address problem gaming" and his government were not prepared to jeopardize jobs and revenue over it, the Daily Telegraph said. |
