November revenue drop for Sandy hit Atlantic City

12 December 2012

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- The financial toll on Atlantic City casinos of Hurricane Sandy is now being calculated, Bloomberg reported.

Revenue decreased 28 percent during November, the report said.

The casinos shutdown for six days between October 28 and November 2, 2012 on account of the storm, Bloomberg said.

The main impact on Atlantic City seemed to be from the lost visitors, as 9 conventions were also cancelled during that time, the report noted.
