Nova Scotia Could Lose $200 Million from VLT Ban

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia – As reported by the National Post: "Nova Scotia's Conservative government estimates the province would lose as much as $200 million annually if video lottery terminals were banned.

"The figure was put before the house today by Finance Minister Peter Christie during budget debate.

"The number represents lost VLT revenue, but also the commission paid to retailers and the potential layoffs that could occur at the Atlantic Lottery Corporation…"
