Northeast Pennsylvania to hold public hearings this week27 April 2015HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania -- Northeast Pennsylvania will hear from the public this week on future of gambling in the state and proposed changes to keep pace with both technology and competition, the Times-Tribune reported. The public hearings will take place tomorrow at 2pm at Mount Airy Casino Resort in Paradise Twp and then a second hearing will take place at the same time on Wednesday at Mohegan Sun Pocono in Plains Twp, the report said. Among the topics on the agenda will be the future of casinos in Pennsylvania and neighbouring state competition along with proposals to allow casinos to offer online gambling and sports betting, the Times-Tribune report said. |
