No increase in problem gambling18 June 2007BILOXI, Mississippi -- As reported by the Biloxi Sun Herald: "In Mississippi, problem gambling has not increased since Hurricane Katrina and the number of people seeking help for gambling addiction has stayed unchanged even as more casinos open on the Coast. "Betty Greer, executive director of the Mississippi Council on Problem and Compulsive Gambling, said calls to the gambling help line are actually down the last two months - only about 65 per month compared with the normal 100 calls.
