No Casino for Guam Festival

GUAM – As reported by the Pacific Daily News: "Gov. Felix Camacho today reversed his decision to allow casino gambling at this year's Liberation Day carnival.

"… 'When I initially agreed to allow for gambling back in the carnival, the focus was on the cause, as it should be,' Camacho said. 'As I weighed the issue and spoke with people on both sides, I recognized that the casino fundraising effort is too controversial and divisive and that it would take the focus away from worthy causes. I do not feel that these causes should be embroiled with such an issue.'…"
