Niagara Chamber Appeals for Casino Revenue Plan

NEW YORK – As reported by the Buffalo Business First: "Just one day after the leading tourism agency in Niagara County pulled the plug on a $1 million marketing campaign due to a delay in receiving long promised funds, the county's primary business group has pleaded for the logjam to break.

"Niagara USA Chamber of Commerce, Friday morning, issued a plea to Niagara County lawmakers to reach a final decision on how its share of revenues generated from the Seneca Niagara Casino will be allocated.

"The stalemate has all but crippled marketing efforts by the Niagara Tourism and Convention Corp., which on Thursday said it was scrapping a promotional campaign aimed at such cities as Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Cleveland because the $1 million it expected from the casino allocation remains tied-up in a political battle amongst Niagara County leaders…"
