Newham council heads to court to block Paddy Power betting shop10 June 2013NEWHAM, England -- An east London council is heading to court in its bid to prevent another betting shop opening in borough where there are currently 80, The Guardian reported. Newham council are challenging the application for a Paddy Power betting shop because of concerns that such outfits are relying too much on gaming machines, the report said.
